    Duties   Summary  

    About the Position:  We are conveniently located on the shores of Lake Cochituate, in Natick, MA, (a suburb of Boston, near Routes 9, 90, 95 and 495). Parking is free and access to site facilities is available to include an on-site federal credit union, recreational facilities (tennis and basketball courts), barbershop and dining facility. 

    • Complete training associated metrics 
    • Act as administrator of the training website 
    • Task and monitor progress of training 
    • Develop Individual Training Plans 
    • Serve as intern liaison for the division 
    • Manage intern progress reports 
    • Serve as Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder 
    • Track and update expenditure spreadsheets

    In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:

    For GS-05: One year of specialized experience which includes progressively responsible clerical or office administration experience. Examples of qualifying experience include: Conducting thorough checks to ensure forms are properly completed; Distributing and collecting materials while accurately accounting for those materials; Orally presenting basic instructions to individual and/or groups and ensuring their understanding of instructions; Utilizing automated systems to provide reports/information to others. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).


    Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.


    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

    For GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) presenting instructions to individual and/or groups and ensuring their understanding of instructions; 4) utilizing automated systems for data entry and to provide reports/information to others; 3) managing employee certification and training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

    For GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) presenting instructions to individual and/or groups and ensuring their understanding of instructions; 4) utilizing automated systems for data entry and to provide reports/information to others; 3) managing employee certification and training; 4) developing training plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
