This internship is with the Propeller Systems business unit located in Windsor Locks, CT at Collins Aerospace Systems. Propeller Systems is seeking an intern to work during the fall 2019 & spring 2020 semesters. The goal of the Intern program is to enhance the student’s academic training, professional growth, and personal development.

This position will support the month-end closing process by completing journal entries, tracking capital projects, assisting with various financial reporting, analyzing intercompany transactions, providing supporting documentation for account reconciliations, and issue resolution. As an intern in our Finance department, you will interact with the engineering team to assist in the calculations of estimates at completion and weekly sales reporting. You will also have an opportunity to work with the Sarbanes Oxley tool, which includes gathering documentation and testing.

Do you meet these Basic Qualifications?

US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
Must be currently enrolled in Bachelors or Master’s degree from an accredited school, with a target degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship.
You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
How about any of these Preferred Qualifications?

Applicants will have completed their freshmen year at an accredited university but have not yet graduated.
Applicants must have experience in multi-tasking, planning, organizing, and problem solving.
Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Strong Excel skills are a must including the use of Pivot Tables.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required
