Supervisor Production (CNC)
Directs, coordinates and/or supervises all disciplines within the realm of CNC Machining: the machines, their products, and the stakeholders who interface with them, to achieve the desired quality and production schedule. Develops and provides leadership to institutionalize the processes of Continuous Quality Improvement in accordance with organization goals and objectives.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Works within established organizational objectives and guidelines. Performs typical responsibilities of supervision requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and coaching. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting cost, schedule and quality objectives.
Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for machining. Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
Ensures that productivity goals are achieved and maintained. Ensures that quality standards are maintained and continually improved upon. Provides guidance to teams on development, performance and productivity issues.
Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Supervises departmental personnel to achieve the desired level of costs, quality and schedule. Performs Stakeholder evaluations. Plans and implements the necessary manpower assignments.
Ensure CNC machines are in proper working order properly and properly maintained. Responsible for assuring that machines are operated safely by monitoring and training stakeholders.
Ancillary Functions and Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.
