We are seeking a Robotic Programmer who is experienced with creating robotic and automated systems control applications. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can balance the expectations of our customers with the demands of creating automations solutions that meet the technical, scope, budget and quality requirements of the project.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work in a multi-discipline team to aid in the collection and validation of system requirements
  • Contribute to winning customer proposals which include innovative technical concepts, costing and schedule to successfully deliver the project
  • Validate robotic and automation concepts and designs
  • Help in the development of robotic and automation procedures and design tasks:
  • Aid in the development of control software design guidelines
  • Help define automation software architecture for reuse and maintainability
  • Detailed design specification generation
  • Create software documentation for design and user
  • Aid in the creation of test plans and integration
  • Develop well documented, maintainable code in the excepted PaR format
  • Embrace an Agile development methodology to allow adaptive project implementations
  • Work as a committed team member during all phases of development including onsite integration
  • Support field service to achieve customer satisfaction

Minimal required experience, skills and background:
  • 5 - 10 years robotic and automation software development experience, with heavy emphasis placed on relevant and applicable project history
  • Degree, certification or sufficient related experience in robotics, controls or automation programming
  • Ability to understand basic electrical and mechanical prints
  • Fanuc, Comau or Kuka robotic experience preferred
  • Understanding and implementation of multiple communication formats (Ethernet I/P, Device Net, ...)
  • Experience with vision processing using IRVision, Keyence or others
  • Customer facing experience
  • Strong organizational and communications skills
  • Up to 35% travel
  • U.S. Citizen
Preffered (not required) experience, skills and background:
  • C/C++/C#, KAREL experience
  • Fanuc certification a plus
  • RoboGuide experience
  • CNC programming knowledge
  • Experience with Phase-Gate process
  • Experience developing panel GUI/UI
  • PLC programming experience
  • Siemens 840D
  • BS degree in related field (CS, EE, ...)
