FAAC Incorporated is seeking a mid-level 3D graphics software engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our next generation Image Generator solution for our simulation and training products. FAAC is a simulation and training company, with a friendly family spirit, developing world-class simulation products for military and commercial customers.

Candidates must be self-motivated, comfortable working in a team environment and have a desire to build world class software products. The ability to understand written requirements and how they impact engineering and system design is desirable. Familiarity with government contracts is also desirable.

Develop software for driving simulation’s 3D graphics
Maintain, refactor and extend existing mature code base while minimizing disruption to existing installed customer base
Cross-platform development Windows and Linux
GLSL Shader development.

Minimum Technical Skills:
Object-oriented programming
Windows programming
Understanding of Physics and Math concepts used in 3D graphics
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience will be considered
2+ years of experience writing/maintaining C++ software
2+ years of 3D graphics programming experience

Desired Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Experience creating rendering engines in OpenGL or Vulkan
Experience writing shaders (GLSL, HLSL, etc.)
Experience creating models with 3ds Max (or other 3D modeling software - Maya, Blender, etc.)
Experience creating models with Presagis Creator

Desired Experience:
4+ years 3D graphics programming experience
Linux/Unix programming
Sockets and network programming
Using Visual Studio for software development
Lua scripting or other scripting language
US Citizenship REQUIRED
