Job Objective:  
  • Lead highly strategic, global, cross-functional Sourcing Teams and champion the global strategic sourcing process for assigned categories 
  • Develop and publish Category strategies. Promote awareness of these strategies throughout the organization 
  • Communicate analysis results and recommendations to Operational leadership on an ongoing and as-needed basis 
  • Execute ongoing improvement of supplier selection, negotiation, monitoring, tracking, measuring and reporting per company policies 
  • Develop and deploy cost reduction/profit improvement plans with suppliers that directly impact yearly economic performance to achieve business goals 
  • Maintain current knowledge industry and market factors affecting assigned categories 
  • Conduct supplier rationalizations and segmentation initiatives, proactively reviewing supplier performance, and establishing sourcing strategies 
  • Ensure suppliers are selected and managed per specifications of the company in a timely and cost-effective manner 
  • Follow and adhere to contractual and business processes 
  • Manage ongoing conflict resolution of supplier issues, and developing, educating and measuring results for broader use in the supply chain team 
  • Develop and negotiate supply agreements for key suppliers within assigned categories 
  • Develop and drive low-cost region sourcing strategies for assigned categories aligning strategy and business practice with Business Unit Procurement leaders 
  • Execute ongoing improvement of selection, negotiation, monitoring, tracking, measuring and reporting per company policies 
  • Other duties may be assigned or required for the performance of this position

Qualifications:

Experience/expertise in the following areas:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering/Technical field 
  • Master’s degree in operations/supply chain management/business preferred 
  •  

  • Minimum 6 – 8+ years working in Indirect Procurement, Supply Chain or other related field 
  •  
  • Excellent demonstrated negotiation skills 
  • Strong analytical, conflict resolution, data-processing and problem-solving skills 
  • Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs required 
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to understand key role concepts and communicate with business stakeholders 
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to perform in a command-and-control role under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands 
  •  
  • Experience using PC-based applications (including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and/or Access) 
  • Understanding of enterprise technology applications that enable sourcing and procurement execution and reporting 
  •  
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision 
  • Has successfully worked in a team-based environment 
  •  


Availability to travel 20% of the time, domestically or internationally
