Job Description: 
  • This position is in Canada. All American Pilots must 
pass health and visa regulations and licenses before
initiating work.*
  • This position is seasonal, and employment lasts only 
between April and mid-September of each year.*
MAG Aerospace is seeking a C337 Pilot. C337 Pilots are
hired and trained in April each year to support our Fire
and Imagery contracts from May to September. The C337
Pilots act as Pilot-In-Command of the C337 Skymaster and
are normally supported by the help of an Aerial Observer
or Sensor Technician.
As a C337 Fire Detection Pilot, you will conduct VFR
patrols in search of lightning and human-caused
wildfires across Northern Ontario or Saskatchewan.
(Dryden Ontario, Geraldton Ontario, Chapleau Ontario,
Sudbury Ontario, La Ronge Saskatchewan)
Aerial Fire Detection plays a critical role in the
government’s wildfire management strategy to help ensure
wildfires are found early when they are still small
enough to be controlled.

100-300 hours of Multi-PIC in four months

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Transport Canada Commercial Pilot Licence and 
Multi-Engine Rating
  • Class 1 Medical 
  • 750 Hours Total Time 
  • *ATPL exams required for pilots applying with less 
than 1,000 hours total time

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 1,000+ Hours Total Time 
  • 100 Hours Multi-PIC 
  • Valid Group 1 Instrument Rating 
Pilot Recruitment & Engagement Program (PREP): 
We invite pilots with 650+ hours to apply to MAG and
join our recruitment pool. As selected candidates gain
experience toward our 750-hour minimum requirement, we
will stay in touch and offer guidance as needed.
Successful candidates that are hired as C337 Pilots will
fly a summer contract with MAG. At the end of your
contract, we will work with you to secure internal or
external career options.
